After 20 years of working in high school and college settings, I have learned a lot about the growing needs of teen and young adult women. Whether they know it or not, my students taught ME about being self-aware, the importance of growth mindset, having a voice, perfectionism, time-management, decision-making (even if it took using the flip of a coin), stress, anxiety, depression, and more. Through all of their life experiences, I have learned to appreciate and genuinely love the journey they are on!
My goal is to empower young women to find their voice, know who they are, what they stand for, and who they want to be. I want them to confidently confront daily challenges and know how to live their life (mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually) on purpose.

With nearly twenty years of experience working as a licensed professional counselor and high school administrator, I believe that young women are best prepared to embrace uncertainty, tolerate risk, self-regulate, and grow in confidence when they are taught how to transform chaos into curiosity. As a lifelong learner myself, I base my coaching practice on the latest educational, well-being, and leadership development frameworks that are rooted in neuroscience and positive psychology. By providing a safe space to wonder about - and wrestle with - life’s potential, I aim to educate and equip young women with the tools needed to design for themselves a future that is uniquely and happily their own.

I am so excited to be a part of the wonderful mission Girl Thriving brings to central Ohio. I have been in education for many years and have taught children from 18 months to 18 years old during my career! I am a licensed clinical pastoral counselor and a licensed school counselor and love to join students and families as they navigate the school years and all that comes with growing, learning and changing! I inspire to promote learning communities among teachers, staff, parents and students. Values, collaborative problem solving, decision making and partnerships all help students and families succeed. I work with families to promote a teamwork approach and focus on supporting the student’s social, emotional and academic needs. Students need support and guidance, especially during adolescence as it is a time of rapid growth and change. As a school counselor, I understand education from a mental health perspective and understand the comprehensive educational system. It is my joy to come alongside you to help any way I can. I look forward to serving and offering hope!
